TSL collects extensive information on transportation management and cost levels. The company has been in business 20 years and our people have been working in the field even longer. TSL has a vast historical database of information.   We constantly monitor rates and terms, and we can tap those resources for your company.

Does Transport Solutions have alliances with transportation providers?
Most definitely NOT.  TSL works only for your interests as a client.  We have no “sweetheart deals” with providers--no one else’s agenda but yours.  We help your company get the best deal on shipping.

We ship many, many products to several distribution centers, and we use multiple providers to do it.  Can Transport Solutions help us?
Rationalizing all that complexity is our specialty!  Our analysts and our software will take all that data and produce easy-to-understand reports so you’ll know where you can improve shipping efficiency. 

We have qualified people that manage transportation in-house.  Why would we need an outside resource like TSL?  We work closely with our customers’ in-house managers as allies.  In-house managers are likely to conduct bids or major analytical studies somewhat rarely, maybe every couple of years.  They are typically busy responding to day-to-day pressures and don’t have the time or the opportunity to perform these “extra” duties.  TSL works on upwards of 25-30 bids each year in all global regions, so we hone our techniques and we know the market at all times.  In addition, we are geared to developing/upgrading our skills and proprietary software for these specialized purposes and we are not distracted by day-to-day logistics issues.

Our department has primary responsibility for managing transport costs and services, but other people in the company are constantly looking for information.  Is there a way to get them what they need and still have time to do our jobs?
We do it all the time.  We tailor our information to your needs. TSL works with multiple departments in the same company, finance for example, giving each group what they need to monitor, allocate and anticipate costs.

We have multiple ways to help you reduce costs, and we can help in every step of your transportation decisions.  Start at the beginning: going out for quotes on transportation? We’ll help draft the RFQ to assure your needs will be met and the quotes evaluated on an apples-to-apples basis.  Next, we’ll monitor your resulting transaction costs to be sure you get what you are paying for—at the rates promised.  We’ll help you decide where to locate a new production or distribution facility, in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa region (EMEA) or the Asia Pacific region (APR), by factoring in multiple transportation scenarios.  TSL brings peace of mind to the complex task of transportation purchasing and management.

Does Transport Solutions handle freight payments?
In the past, we did, but we divested that portion of the business in order to focus on our sophisticated data based consulting. We can help companies select and implement a qualified freight payment provider.

We manage transportation with a proprietary software package and use an enterprise software program —can TSL handle that?
Over the years, we have developed the capability to work with virtually any type of customer software, from sophisticated enterprise-wide systems such as SAP and Oracle, all the way down to simple Excel spreadsheets.  We are confident we can work with your software.
